Whilst most from the Street Fighter news these days centers for the April 27 launch of Super Street Fighter IV for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Capcom is preparing one last hurrah for the original Street Fighter IV.

North American release date for revamped version of Capcom fighter confirmed; European debut set for April 30.

The fear that we all have been waiting for is finally here! Capcom is pleased to announce the first downloadable episode for Resident Evil 5, “Lost in Nightmares” is available today on Xbox Live Marketplace and will be become available on PlayStation Network tomorrow, Thursday, February 18.

New Street Fighter IV features 8 new characters, ultra combos & various enhancements. Capcom has a history of releasing updated versions of its video games, especially when it comes to Street Fighter. Their odd decision to release it as a standalone game (at a discounted price), instead of updating the original via downloadable content.

Due for release in the fall of 2010, Capcom is set to add new characters, new locales, new moves, and a host of other improvements/tweaks to their best-selling fighter in a package that should sound awfully familiar to fans across the world; introducing Super Street Fighter IV for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3!
