Kawa no Nushi Tsuri 2 was released in Japan for the Super Famicom on April 28, 1995. The game was developed by PACK-IN-VIDEO, and is part of a much larger series of games, including Umi no Nushi Tsuri (sea fishing, as opposed to river fishing).

What we have here are the opening screens to every single Famicom game ever made in Japan. 1252 of them in chronological order from 1981 to 1994. It’s interesting to see how little the basic template changed over the years.

Maybe a PS3 is a little out of your price range, as it is mine -- but there's hope. Fortunately, some kind souls from Hong Kong have created a low-cost, high-sexy revision of the PS3 which, incidentally, only plays Famicom carts and has wired controllers. Also no Blu-Ray. Oh, and you can't connect it to the internet. Oh, it's a Famicom clone.

A company called Messiah Entertainment has rebuilt the SNES (aka Super Nintendo/Famicom) and NES. Both systems are much smaller than the originals but still have similar designs. They also include wirless controllers. Both retail for $60 with free shipping.
